VS loses in a close game to Mathews Carlson. Carlson took an early 5-0 lead, but Stationers battled back to tie the game, and eventually take the lead. However, MC regained a two run lead going into the bottom of the seventh, and though it appeared that VS would retie the game, coach Ron Willis sent Josh Perri home on a close play. Perri was thrown out, andc the game was over. This decision has been questioned many times , with the red-hot Rose coming up next. Cody West takes the loss for VS.
